WEDNESDAY WEBB CABIN

It finally stopped raining in the late afternoon on Wednesday.  I decided to take a ride in the truck and explore some back roads.  Here are some pictures of my trip.

WEBB CABIN BEING BUILT

Below are some pictures of the cabin being built around 1985.     The cabin was built on the foundation of the old school the the Webb kids went to school.  It still holds good memories to this very day.

TUESDAY WEBB CABIN

I had a very hard time waking up Tuesday.  I was weak from a cold and didn’t want to do much.  I decided to go out to the truck and get something, I don’t even remember what it was.  When I opened the cabin door, I just happened to look out in the front...

MONDAY WEBB CABIN

I tried to sleep in Monday morning, but the sun was shining through the windows and I had several things that I wanted to get accomplished.  Number one on the list was to build stone steps around the new water faucet that had been installed for the cabin.  I drove...

SUNDAY WEBB CABIN

Chad left as soon as it got dark Saturday evening to go home.  His wife and girls had been sick for a few days and he decided that they needed him.  Good husband and father.  Brock and I just loafed around the cabin Sunday morning and he got ready to go home.  We had...

SATURDAY WEBB CABIN

Brock and Chad took the Ranger in the early morning to go squirrel hunting.  Brock then came back to pick me up and we proceeded back to the farm to pick up Chad and do some fishing. Here is a picture of us going up the lane to the farm. We picked up Chad up at the...

FRIDAY WEBB CABIN

Friday Oct 14 Friday morning saw Pop up bright and early.  I started the bacon in the frying pan as Chad got ready for his morning run. He took off for his run and Brock and I sat down to a Webb Cabin breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast made by putting two forks in a...

Epilogue

After resting for a week and looking back at all of the places that we have been, I thought that I would look back over the pictures and reminisce about the places and things that stood out to me. One of the things that I intended to put into our blog was about the...

Sunday July 31

Day 22 of our vacation to visit parts that we had never visited before.  Hopefully, this would be our final day on the road.  The weather was hot and muggy when we set the camper up last night.  We didn’t use the air conditioner because we knew that as soon as...

Saturday July 30

We rose early so we could beat the traffic through Cheyenne, WY.  It was their Rodeo Days which featured the worlds largest rodeo.  We beat most of the traffic  and turned East for our final 2 days of travel.  Each state that we came to just meant that we were that...

Friday July 29

We had to find a Honda shop and buy some coolant.  We also met up with and had lunch with some of our old friends from Olivet days, Ted and Jane Bryant.  I don’t mean they are old.  I just mean that we had known them a long time. We had a great time catching up...

Thursday July 28

Wednesday evening saw us camping in a small town in Utah called Green River.  I don’t know why they call it Green River because that river was extremely brown.  After getting our camper set up just before sundown, we walked next door to a nice restaurant for...

Tuesday and Wednesday July 26 – 27

Tuesday found us just chilling out at Mike and Miriam’s house.  I did have to go have a new tire put on the front of the trike because it was wearing badly.  Tuesday evening, Mike and Miriam took us to a restaurant in downtown Boise called “Donnie Macks...

Monday July 26 Silver City

On Monday, our friends Mike and Miriam asked if we would be interested in going to a ghost town.  They had been wanting to explore around there so off we went.  When we arrived at the turnoff, we traveled on paved road for 6 miles and then dirt and rock another 14. ...

Friday July 23 Glacier National Park

Thursday July 21 On The Road To Glacier National Park

After packing up everything, we started for Glacier National Park.  We knew that we would not make it in one day so we decided to spend the night at Great Falls MT.  The trip there was pretty and peaceful.  We didn’t take any pictures on this part of the trip...

Wednesday July 20 Grand Tetons

It was well after 11:00 after we had gotten up, had breakfast, and prepared ourselves for the day.  It was decided to head South to Jackson Hole WY.  The trip would be 130 miles one way and the speed limit in Yellowstone was 45 miles per hour at the best.  Sometimes,...

Monday July 18 Part III

On our way to Monmouth Springs, we saw some great scenery followed by some more geysers. Some dried up minerals from the geysers. More geysers that had actually dried up and opened somewhere else. Snow and ice?  No rhino breath, just some more minerals that had...
